Ediz Şekercioğlu

Born in 1977 into a musical family, Sekercioğlu started his musical studies at the age of nine Hacettepe State Conservatory. Completing his studies in 1999, he was awarded the Ministry of Education scholarship to continue his studies in Guiseppe Verdi Conservatory in Como, Italy under Christian Bellasario until 2001. Between 2001 and 2006, he received his concert diplom in Zurich Music Academy under Thomas Grossenbacher. During his studies he gave numerous concerts with many acclaimed ensembles and conductors. In 2005, he made his solist interpretation studies under Raphael Wallfisch along with Baroque Cello studies under Martin Zeller.
