Emek Yalın Orhon
Emek Yalın Orhon was born in Antalya. She started her violin studies at the age of eleven with Prof. Leda Cenaz in Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in Bilkent University in Ankara. She obtained her licence degree in 2001. Through this period, she studied with Toğrol Ganioğlu and Feruze Abdullayeva for violin and with İmer Saraçoğlu, Ayhan Erman and Sumru Güner for chamber music. She was also a member of Bilkent Youth Orchestra under Mahir Çakar. She also got her master degree in class of State Artist Tunç Ünver, in Başkent University, in 2009. She has participated actively in many masterclasses under supervision of such mentours as Cihat Aşkın, Burkhard Godhoff, Mikhail Aranovitch Gotsdiner and Tuncay Yılmaz.
As a professional, she had been a member of Eskişehir Municipality Symphony Orchestra between the years 2001 and 2004. Since 2004, Yalın Orhon has been a member of Orchestra Academic Baskent. Through her career, she has participated in concerts with many acclaimed conductors and soloists both nationally and globally recognized such as Vladimir Askhenazy and Enrique Batiz. She also assisted in national and international youth orchestra projects such as Greek Turkish Youth Orchestra and Ankara Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Emek Yalın Orhon has also taken part in education projects like Certificate Program of Başkent University which is based on teaching amateur musicians and children and also has been children’s books associated with music.
