Ezgi Bilgin

Ezgi Bilgin was born in Mersin in 1994. She began her viola education at the Mersin University State Conservatory under Giorgi Chaduneli. At 13, she gave her first solo concert with the Mersin Academic Chamber Orchestra. From 2008 to 2012, she participated in concerts and CD recordings with this orchestra. She also performed domestically and internationally with the Doğuş Children’s Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the distinguished Maestro Rengim Gökmen. She began her undergraduate studies at the Istanbul University State Conservatory. In 2013, she performed as the principal viola of the Istanbul University Youth Symphony Orchestra during the Beethoven Fest held in Berlin and Bonn, where she also performed chamber music concerts at the festivals. In 2014, she was accepted into Sylvie Altenburger's class at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg in Germany, where she continued her education and participated in orchestral, chamber music, and solo viola concerts. Between 2013 and 2023, she performed with several orchestras, including the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony Orchestra, Milli Reasürans Chamber Orchestra, Notre Dame de Sion Orchestra, and Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra. In 2016, she gave a successful chamber music concert with distinguished artists such as Cihat Aşkın, Beste Tıknaz Modiri, Ümit İşgörür, and Şeniz Serter. She graduated as an honor student from the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2020 and successfully passed the audition to become a reserve player for the Presidential Symphony Orchestra. In 2022, she performed with The Next Generation Orchestra in Sofia, Bulgaria. She practiced under the guidance of distinguished artists such as Prof. Wilfried Strehle, Prof. Tatjana Masurenko, Prof. Ruşen Güneş, Prof. Betil Başeğmezler, Prof. Siegfried Führlinger, Prof. Mikhail Gotdiner, Anna Pelczer, Prof. Sheila Browne, Prof. Burcu Yazıcı. In February 2023, she joined the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra as a viola member after passing the audition. She is pursuing her master’s degree at Anadolu University State Conservatory under Prof. Burcu Evren Yazıcı and works as a viola artist with the Orchestra Academic Başkent.
