Gizem Sözeri

She started her double pass training with Prof. Dr. Burak Karaağaç in 2007 following her admittance in Hacettepe University, Ankara State Conservatory. She has been granted numerous awards both in national and international competitions..

She gave recitals both in Turkey and abroad and took credits and praise in the newsletters published both in Turkey and abroad.

She actively took part in master classes of Rinat İbragimov, Thomas Martin, Klaus Trumpf, Thierry Barbe, Miloslav Gajdos, David Murray, Bugoslaw Furtok, Eric Hansen, Miloslav Jelinek, Irena Olkiewicz, Einars Upatnieks, Gunars Upatnieks, Martin Sranko, Panu Parssinen, Jan Krigovsky, Mette Hanskov, Adam Bogacki, Waldemar Tamowski, Yi Song, Sonia Ray, Czeslaw Zabek and Jakub Olejnik. Having taken part in Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra concert programs, Sözeri is also member of Ankara Bass Quartet.

She graduated from Hacettepe University, Ankara State Conservatory with “High Honor” degree in 2018. She has successfully completed her master’s degree at Hacettepe University, Ankara State Conservatory under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Burak KARAAĞAÇ in 2021.

Sözeri is a member of Orkestra Akademik Başkent since 2019.
