Ümit Önder

He started his first music lessons with his father Selim Önder, who took mandolin and cura lessons at the age of 7. In 1990, he was accepted to Hacettepe University Violin Department with the first place among one thousand candidates. He studied Solfeggio and Music Theory with İlhan Baran, Harmony with Istemihan Taviloğlu, Violin with Konstantyn Menyhert and Prof. Murat Tamer. In 1998, he performed the first performance of Ayşe Önder's violin romance with the Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra.

After his graduation, He studied violin privately with Prof. Engin Eralp and in Germany He took part in a number of concerts by attending renowned violinist Prof. Joshua Epstein's Master Classes.

Önder, who has also been involved in Film and TV series music composing since 2010, has composed the music of many hit TV series.

Rauf was nominated for the best soundtrack at the Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival in 2016.

In 2019, he received the 3rd place and honorable mention in the categories of best horror and detective film music at the Horror Hotel and Indie Gathering Film Festivals in Cleveland, USA.

He has been working as a violinist in Hacettepe University Symphony Orchestra between 2000-2004, and at Baskent University Orchestra Academic Baskent since 2004, and has taken part in many solo and chamber music concerts.
