Yağız Tan

He started his violin education in 1994 with Ceylan Teker Kabakçı at the part-time department of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. Two years later, he passed the full-time university entrance exam and entered Ludmila Sirotina's violin class. During his years at the conservatory, he gave many concerts as an soloist, orchestra and chamber music member, also participated in music festivals. He worked at the Ankara State Theater between 2002 and 2004. During his undergraduate education, he also worked with the Hacettepe Symphony Orchestra. A year after graduating from the Undergraduate Department of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory. in 2006, he passed the exam of the School of Music (HFM Detmold) in Detmold, Germany, and started his master's education with Prof.Eckhart Fischer. During his education abroad, he received a scholarship from Lions and DAAD. He participated in solo, chamber music, modern music and orchestra works with many artists. He had the chance to work with Alexsander Markov, Mincho Minchev, Marco Rizzi, Janos Balint, Max Sommerhalder, Tomas Christian, Peter Prommel, Kurt Masur, Sir Roger Norrington, Rosemunde Trio, Auryn Quartet and Tokyo Quartet. During his time in Germany he was a permanent member of the Detmold Kammerorchester and Ensamble Vinorosso. He taught violin at Musikschule Minden between 2011-2013. After completing his master's degree in 2013 and returning to Ankara, he became a permanent member of the Orchestra Academic Başkent.
